Parliament has passed the 2009 Supplementary Appropriation Bill in its Second Reading.
Finance Minister, Snyder Rini, who tabled the bill last week, wound up debates on the bill yesterday.The 2009 Supplementary Appropriation Bill seeks approval for the spending of nearly 80-million dollars not initially budgeted for, to ensure that government policies, programs and commitments are delivered.
Winding up the bill, Mr Rini told Parliament that the bill is a responsible, forward looking and just one.
The bill will now come before parliament in its committee stage.
