The country's local provider of canned and bottle soft drinks and beers, SolBrew Limited, has announced over the weekend that demand for their products is increasing.
Chairman and shareholder of SolBrew Limited, Stephen Dowling, made the announcement on the occasion to commemorate the Company's 15th anniversary, having been in operation since 1993.Also present with directors, shareholders and customers of SolBrew Limited to celebrate the occasion was German, Horst Hoertelmann, the man behind the idea of setting up a local provider of beverage here in Solomon Islands.
Demand for SolBrew products had continued to increase over the years, outweighing their production capacity, Mr. Dowling said, with demand increasing higher this year.
He said the company since its establishment has worked very hard to make their products the market-leader in the country.
Mr. Dowling said the company now looks further on the possibility of renewing their operation and also export their products overseas.
The occasion was marked with the commissioning of their new production plant, which includes equipment, building and tools that will enable their production capacity to double.
The Australian-based director and shareholder, Mr. Dowling, said the commissioning of their new production facilities at Ranadi will enable them to double their production capacity in order to meet the peak demand by their outlets and the public.
Their outlets include restaurants, hotels, motels and clubs around the country, and working with retailers including Sullivans.
Meanwhile, Kaware Club owner, Charles Keku, agreed that demand for SolBrew products, particularly beers, had "dramatically increased".
He said that high demand compared to the company's capability to produce often slowed down their orders.
Mr. Keku welcomed the introduction of SolBrew's new production plants, stating that this will help speed up on customer orders.
