Parliamentarian Pay Increase
Dear Editor
Regarding the burning issue of politicians voting for their own salary increase, I hate to say it but it's happening everywhere.
I often hear of this in Aotearoa (New Zealand), Australia and the UK.
But we never hear of this going on in Cuba, Venizuella or Bolivia, do we? Maybe it could be time for a change. Politicians in the capitalist countries get votes from the people (by dubious means) but they serve their pay masters, often the logging companies, the overseas fishing companies and other transnational corporations.
Oh yes they have learnt their lessons very well from their past colonial masters!
